Burglars steal jewelry, safe deposit boxes from east side home | Crime

Evansville Police were called to Ridgebrook Drive late Wednesday night after a couple discovered their home had been burglarized while they were away.

According to a police report, a box containing about $4,000 worth of jewelry had been taken from their bedroom along with two safe deposit boxes that held personal documents.

Entry was made by prying open the rear door to the residence.
