Best Buy looks for serial iPod thieves | Crime

The Best Buy store on Burkhardt Road was the victim of an apparent mass theft of iPod Touch devices over the weekend.

The store called Evansville Police Saturday night after discovering what appeared to be an organized effort to shoplift.

Two people are believed to have entered and exited the store separately on several occasions.  They apparently placed as many as 40 iPods into larger boxes to conceal them and left without paying.

The machines were valued at approximately $200 each.
