Dan's Comp acquires Gilles Cycle | Business

Mount Vernon-based Dan’s Comp recently acquired Gilles Cycle, located at 1412 S. Green River Road. The merger combines two of the Tri-states largest Cycling and Cycling lifestyle companies.

Besides being the world’s largest etailer of BMX products, Dan’s Comp has served the area with their local bike shop for well over 25 years.

Gilles Cycle has been a mainstay in Evansville since 1942. 

“Nobody in the tri-state, nor the Midwest, really, will be offering the amount of brands, product or services these two locations can provide,” said Steve Kalsch, COO of Dan’s Comp in a news release.

“In addition, with the Gilles showroom connected to Ultimate Fit, owned by Curt Jones, we will maintin the open layout between both stores for customer convenience . We are very excited to have the opportunity to expand our business into Evansville ."
