Following the Board of Trustees’ approval in early 2011 of a capital campaign master plan that addressed renovation and expansion of various areas of the Evansville Day School campus, School and campaign leaders began preparing for the first major facility-related project since the Upper School was added 27 years ago.
Construction for Phase 1 began in May 2012. This construction has resulted in expanded Primary School classrooms, a new broadcast room, complete with new computer equipment and a green screen, and the addition of a spacious front entrance and Atrium.
A new Bermuda-grass soccer field and the Dunigan Family Tennis Center’s five tennis courts opened during the Fall 2012 sports season. In addition to these visible changes, Evansville Day School installed a new HVAC system that includes an improved smoke dispersal system and innovative fire alarm system.
