The Angel Mounds field school hosted by IU's Glenn Black Lab of Archaeology and IUPUI Indianapolis started this past week and will continue through June 21. 

Visitors wanting to see the archaeological excavations are welcome to head out to Angel Mounds. They'll be there on Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It Takes a Village Canine Rescue is having a series of fundraisers this weekend to earn cash that will assist with veterinary care of the animals they have rescued.

The group is having a yard sale at 301 West Mill Road, Evansville, (across the street from Christ Lutheran Church) on Saturday, May 18. Christ Lutheran is having a big sale across the street as well.

All proceeds from the ITV yard sale will benefit the dogs of ITV.  

ITV is also doing Pictures in the Park next Sunday, May 19 and Sunday, May 26. For $75, you receive a 30 minutes session with a professional photographer. You receive all images on a CD with full printing/use rights.

Evansville attempting to break world record

Evansville- A group of local gym owners and trainers are hoping to put Evansville in the record books by breaking a push-up record.

"Pushups for Charity" will start at 9 o'clock Saturday at the State Hospital Park.

This is the fourth year in a row they are attempting to break it. 

All the money raised during the push-up event will go toward the Wounded Warrior Project.

It will kick off "Fitness in the Park" which will last until 11 a.m.

You'll have a chance take Zumba, kickboxing, yoga, and boot camp classes.
